In ceremonies held for the 37th Annual GMA Music Awards, Platinum-selling rock band Third Day was presented with their 24th Dove Award. The band was recognized this year as the Gospel Music Association’s favorite in the Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song category for their smash hit, “Cry Out To Jesus.†In addition to this momentous award, Third Day is celebrating the RIAA Gold certification of their Wherever You Are project, marking sales of 500,000 units.
According to lead singer Mac Powell, “This has been an amazing week for us. Not only the Gold record being announced, but then to win our 24th Dove Award is so hard to comprehend. We are grateful and humbled by the support we continue to receive from our fans, as well as the industry.â€
