Day of Fire Releases “Cut and Move” June 6

Day of FireDove Award winning and Grammy nominated Day of Fire rocked the house in Jackson, TN last night (05/27)! Lead singer, Josh Brown, fronted the band with the talent and energy of a veteran rocker on the road. His enthusiasm is contagious. When he speaks, the audience listens, and that gives him the platform to share his amazing testimony of conversion from drug addiction while fronting the band Full Devil Jacket, and touring with bands such as Creed, to his current role as frontman for Day of Fire. Brown has a fiery passion for Jesus Christ and his mission is to share the hope that he found in Him. Brown makes every effort to return to his native Jackson a few times a year and play for his fans in Jackson, who always make it out to support him and his bandmates in Day of Fire. The show was the last stop on the Reborn Tour and featured other bands Red, Fighting Instinct, and gave a guest spot to local favorite Vulpine.

Jaci Velasquez

Jaci Velasquez - “On My Knees: The Best Of Jaci Velasquez

Jaci Velasquez first arrived on the Christian music scene in 1996, and since then has had #16 number one singles on the Christian music charts. Those songs are featured in this collection of her best, including “On My Knees”, “God So Loved”, “Everytime I Fall”, “If This World”, “Glory”, and “Imagine Me Without You”. The CD is a wonderful collection of her stylish pop sound, lush balladry and latin flavored themes, and includes a bonus Spanglish version of “On My Knees”.

Rachael Lampa

Rachael Lampa - “Blessed: The Best Of Rachael Lampa”

A 15 year old Rachael Lampa, with a powerful vocal artistry, exploded on to the Christian music scene in 2000 with “Live For You”, an AC album that featured catchy pop tunes and amazingly mature and emotionally stirring “prayer songs”. Her following three albums turned to a more youthful pop sound that included elements of dance and hip hop, on which Lampa is credited as co-writer/writer. This collection features Christian music favorites “Blessed”, “Live For You”, “God Loves You”, “You Lift Me Up”, “No Greater Love” and “When I Fall”.

Nicole C. Mullen

Nicole C. Mullen - “Redeemer: The Best of Nicole C. Mullen”

“On My Knees” (recorded by Jaci Velasquez) earned Nicole C. Mullen her first Dove Award for songwriting in 1998. Mullen has since become one of the most loved and sought after songwriters today. In this collection you will find her best offerings with the very well-known and loved “Redeemer”, the uptempo, rhythmic, toe-tapper “Freedom”, and the worshipful “Call on Jesus”. This CD is packed full of danceable, fun, hand-clapping tunes and powerful worship songs that prick the heart. Nicole C. Mullen is an amazingly talented artist, and this “best of” collection proves it.

Taylor Hicks, the mop-topped manic dancer who wooed TV audiences with his raw singing style and boisterous personality, was named the new American Idol Wednesday in a pop star-filled finale that included Prince and Mary J. Blige.

Hicks, 29, of Birmingham, Ala., became the latest in a string of Southern and Midwestern contestants to win the Fox talent contest after collecting more viewer votes than runner-up Katharine McPhee, 22, of Los Angeles.

New American Idol Winner

The new “American Idol” will be named tonight. Katherine McPhee and Taylor Hicks each performed three songs in last night’s sing-off, staged in front of more than 3,000 fans at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.

In the final showdown between ashen-haired Hicks and sultry McPhee, the “American Idol” winner was clear to one person: Simon Cowell.

“Assuming that I was right _ the show was tied _ then you have just won `American Idol,’” the tart-tongued “Idol” judge told Hicks following his last performance.
