Country Group Alabama Records Inspirational Hymn Album

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

One would think supergroup Alabama has seen it all, done it all and won it all, but that is not the case. The band just completed recording Alabama – Songs of Inspiration, an album of traditional hymns, standards and two new songs that will hit stores October 24, 2006. The album will be simultaneously released by RCA Records to traditional retailers and by Provident Music Group to the Christian retail outlets.

“We first started thinking about this in 1990,” recalls Alabama frontman Randy Owen, “and it seems like fans have been asking for it longer than that! The timing just happened to finally work out to record the album now.”

Alabama – Songs of Inspiration is the Country Music Hall of Fame band’s first new album in over five years, the first since the band’s farewell tour wrapped up three years ago, and first album with inspirational content in the group’s history. Included are classics like “Rock of Ages,” “How Great Thou Art,” “The Old Rugged Cross,” “Amazing Grace” and more. (more…)

Eleventyseven And the Land of Fake BelieveEleventyseven And the Land of Fake Believe

High Energy, fun, and catchy is what you get from Eleventyseven. This is Eleventyseven’s debut release and they did a good job. If you like punk, this music album is a definite one to check out. Put it on your list, this release may rise to the top of your pile.

I do hope that Eleventyseven rises to the challenge of being different than the other groups if and when they release another album. This punk album does fit in well, and doesn’t stand out. Don’t get me wrong, it is good, and you will most likely like it. We are looking for (more…)

the deliberatePeople by Phil Joel music reviewthe deliberatePeople by Phil Joel

This album by Phil Joel has some amazing lyrics. These lyrics really challenge people to spend time in devotion. From songs titled changed, time alone, desperate, and Jealous are a little insight into how powerful these lyrics are.

These lyrics seem to show a growing up when compared to most “rock” albums. Phil Joel is challenging us in our spiritual walk.

This album leaves the traditional sound of Nashville and gives us something that seems straight from the heart.

This is a great album. It is not one I will listen to daily, but will love to hear it as a challenge.

Phil Joel was involved in almost every aspect of producing this album, from lyrics to vocals to drums Phil Joel’s fingerprint can be felt.

You definitley need to hear Jealous the last song on the album! It is amazing. So powerful and direct to the heart.

    Sleepwalkers by Spur58

    Thursday, August 24th, 2006

Spur58 comes out with Sleepwalkers an album that was decent but not one that I would run out and buy. Definitely some great lyrics, but nothing catchy.

This album had me clicking to the next song over and over again. Decent stuff, just not quite what we would recommend.
