The Fold This Too Shall Pass (Special Edition) Music Review

It is not uncommon for trends to develop in music over time. For Tooth & Nail Records, the most recent trend has been to re-release every album after only a few months on the market. With The Fold This Too Shall Pass (Special Edition) Music Reviewnew songs, unreleased tracks and other bonus features, this might seem like a really good idea, but what it really does is leave listeners wondering whether to buy an album when it is released, or just wait until the re-release a few months later and get more for the same price. While record labels such as Tooth & Nail expect both copies to be purchased by everyone, this tends to be expensive, if not unnecessary, and so a choice must be made on whether to wait, or if the wait is even worth it.

With The Fold however, they tried something (more…)

Billy Graham Television Special

January Billy Graham Television Special and please invite others to watch by forwarding this email.

What if everything you touched ended in failure? What if you were heading down the wrong road, reaching the point of no return? What if ending it all seemed like the only way out? Pain, disappointment and despair confront us at every turn, but good can come from the ashes of heartache. Please watch the Billy Graham Television Special, airing in cities across the United States and Canada, January 13-21, and invite your friends, family, and church to watch as well.

See true stories of real people who faced their darkest days but survived through the love of Christ, and hear a time tested sermon that Billy Graham preached during an eight day Albuquerque Crusade in 1975. “What do you place your hope in?” asks Mr. Graham from the University of New Mexico. “My hope is in a man – a person – that sits at the right hand of God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible says that God has put in Him all authority on heaven and earth.”

The special also features Third Day’s moving video for its Dove Award-winning hit “Cry Out to Jesus” alongside Casting Crown’s performance of its GMA Song of the Year “Who Am I” which the band performed live at Franklin Graham’s Festival in Winnipeg. (more…)

The Afters Celebrate Top Downloaded Digital Song

As a result of the mass appeal for The Afters’ (INO/Simple/Columbia Records) hit song “Beautiful Love,” Nielson Soundscan has named the song as the top downloaded song on the inspirational chart for 2006. This song resounded with audiences as it also received RIAA Gold Certification for Digital Sales in 2006. On the heels of this news and following a successful tour with tobyMac’s Winter WonderSlam, which placed the band in front of more than 30,000 fans, The Afters prepare for their sophomore effort set to release in the fall of this year.
Once again working with award winning producers Brown Bannister and Dan Muckala, The Afters are excited about the outlook for the band in 2007.

“The songs are some of the best we’ve ever written. We’re working with great producers, and we have the support of a great label…what more could a band ask for,” shares lead vocalist Josh Havens. “We’re working hard on the new music and taking our time to get it perfect for our fans. We’re committed to making the very best album that we can, and I think it will be worth the wait.”

JARS OF CLAY KICKS OFF HARD-WORKING 2007 WITH SPRING TOUR
jarsofclaygoodmonsters.jpgSpring Shows Highlight “Good Monsters” Project,

Features NEEDTOBREATHE and Burlap To Cashmere

After wrapping up a successful, acclaim-filled 2006, which featured the release of the much-heralded album Good Monsters, multi-Platinum selling, multi-GRAMMY Award winning band Jars of Clay prepares to launch an ambitious spring schedule of

shows throughout the United States and Canada, featuring special guests NEEDTOBREATHE and Burlap to Cashmere.

Reflecting on the band’s time on the road in the fall of ’06, Jars of Clay’s Dan Haseltine said, “It was great getting to play our new songs on the road, but I think my favorite part about touring is being able to reconnect with and make new fans.”

Few bands in America could challenge NEEDTOBREATHE’s sheer number of miles logged and shows played in 2006, with their own year-long club tour interlaced with shows opening for artists such as Train, Collective Soul, Cowboy Mouth and Edwin McCain. The South Carolina-based quartet’s debut record Daylight has garnered fans from all corners of the country, and the band will spend their spring bringing their high-energy rock to Jars of Clay’s fans before hitting the studio hard for a late ‘07 release.

Steven Delopoulus and John Philippides comprise the core of Burlap to Cashmere, the Brooklyn-based folk-rock outfit that arrived with a splash with their major label debut Anybody Out There? Now performing as an acoustic duo, Delopoulus and Philippides, cousins offstage as well as musical partners on, bring BtC’s dynamic sound to Jars of Clay’s spring tour. (more…)
