GEORGIA BAND HIGH FLIGHT SOCIETY SIGNS WITH RKT MUSIC
Four-piece rock outfit prepares for self-titled June 5 debut

RKT Music recently announced the signing of Georgia-based, four-piece rock band High Flight Society, which will release its self-titled debut album June 5, 2007.

Growing up together in Cedartown, Ga., High Flight Society formed while its members were still in high school. Guitarist Michael Packer, his brother, bass player John Packer, drummer Scotty Lockridge and frontman Jason Wilkes joined with producer Tony Palacios (Toby Mac, Audio Adrenaline) to create the stunning, anthemic modern rock sound found on the group’s national debut. Though the 22-year-old Wilkes surprisingly admits a love for all things Southern Gospel, High Flight’s musical influences come from more likely rock sources, bands like Kutless, Anberlin and Foo Fighters. ROCKETOWN RECORDS SIGNS NEW ORLEANS NATIVE JAKE SMITH
Artist’s debut project, Real, scheduled for July 31 release

Hailing from the jazz and blues-influenced culture of southern Louisiana, New Orleans native Jake Smith recently signed an exclusive recording contract with Rocketown Records. His debut CD, Real, is scheduled for a July 31, 2007 release. (more…)

March 7, 2007—Indie label Inpop Records scored six songs in the Top 25 this week on Christian Hit Radio, according to Radio & Records. The tally includes songs by three new Inpop artists, Everyday Sunday, Jimmy Needham and Foolish Things.

Indianapolis favorite, Haste The Day is preparing for the release of their third album, Pressure The Hinges on March 20th on Solid State Records. In doing so, they have released to their Myspace page (www.myspace.com/hastetheday) their new single “Stitches” and are headed to LA to film the video for that song.
