2006 American Idol Champion
Taylor Hicks and Katharine McPhee battled it out Tuesday night for this year’s “American Idol” title.
Now it’s up to America to vote for their favorite.
During the one-hour performance episode, McPhee and Hicks sang three songs — including the songs chosen to be their debut singles.
The show featured a performance by Daniel Powter, whose song, “You’ve Had A Bad Day,” has played at the end of every announcement episode while clips of the exiting finalist were shown.
Kelly Clarkson, who won the first “American Idol” competition, wasn’t afraid to predict who is going to win this one.
“I’d say Taylor. He’s different, he’s unique,” Clarkson said of soul singer Taylor Hicks as she arrived at Tuesday’s 41st annual Academy of Country Music Awards show.
Should be a tight race. Check back on CrimsonLight for the American Idol winner.

I have never even seen American Idol. People sure seemed obsessed with it though.
I can say that the artists who release albums usually do fairly decent with sales.
