Article One
Article One
The Canadian trio known as Article One are basing and banking their music on certain universal truths. Their namesake comes from the initial article in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which they heard Bono speak about on the “Vertigo” tour while on tour with U2. The statement declares that all humans are created equally and deserves to be treated as such. Loving the message, the band went with it as their moniker and Article One was born.
But that’s not the only universal truth being claimed here. The other one is, while obviously less important, still rings true for everyone: namely, that good, accessible pop/rock music is something audiences can never get enough of. No matter what the message of an artist or band, it’s only as good as the art/music that encompasses that message. In other words, the vehicle is as important as the content.
