Fireflight, the hard rock outfit from Flicker Records, comes from Eustis, Florida, just outside Orlando. Fireflight has unleashed their national debut album The Healing of Harms. The lead-singer Dawn Richardson’s voice is quite good and really makes this album great. Along with the great vocals, it has a good sound, and some powerful lyrics.
With albums like this Fireflight will make an impact on the music world.
At first I wasn’t too excited about another girl rock band, but Dawn and the rest of the group won me over. Fireflight sounds a lot like a female-fronted rock band that falls between the harder style of Flyleaf, Evanescence, possibly The Benjamin Gate, and the more pop friendly sound of Inhabited, BarlowGirl, and one of my favorites Plumb.
This album by Fireflight is a great album, great lyrics, and a nice new sound. There’s only one thing wrong with this cd, it’s too short(around 36 minutes). Other than that it’s awesome. These guys and gals rock! Very fresh and heavy beats, with great lyrics. One of the best new acts of the year without question.
