January Billy Graham Television Special and please invite others to watch by forwarding this email.
What if everything you touched ended in failure? What if you were heading down the wrong road, reaching the point of no return? What if ending it all seemed like the only way out? Pain, disappointment and despair confront us at every turn, but good can come from the ashes of heartache. Please watch the Billy Graham Television Special, airing in cities across the United States and Canada, January 13-21, and invite your friends, family, and church to watch as well.
See true stories of real people who faced their darkest days but survived through the love of Christ, and hear a time tested sermon that Billy Graham preached during an eight day Albuquerque Crusade in 1975. “What do you place your hope in?” asks Mr. Graham from the University of New Mexico. “My hope is in a man – a person – that sits at the right hand of God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible says that God has put in Him all authority on heaven and earth.”
The special also features Third Day’s moving video for its Dove Award-winning hit “Cry Out to Jesus” alongside Casting Crown’s performance of its GMA Song of the Year “Who Am I” which the band performed live at Franklin Graham’s Festival in Winnipeg.

Prayers and blessing go out to you, Billy Graham, you are thought of often. We love you. We also enjoy watching your old broadcasts on our network here in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. In fact, I am getting ready to order one of those from 1975. Thank you so much for being the man you are, a great man of God. May God continue to Bless You.

I am aware that the Billy Graham special I just watched on TV was previously recorded some years ago.
I have never actually sat down and watched one of these in my entire life, although I’ve had a fair number of opportunities. I was impressed with the number of those who answered the invitation, to be able to do something that would facilitate or cause that many to commit to Christ must truly be a source of magnificent joy and satisfaction.
Now on to my situation, I was saved soon after the birth of my youngest daughter and tried hard to be strong in the church for a while. my heart was in it whenever I was actually in church or surrounded by the faithful, when I was left to my own devices I wasn’t quite so commited. Eventually my marriage failed because of my being away overseas working, my falling in love with another woman (whom I publicly renownced my faith for), she was Muslim and her family would have disowned her if I had not made a public gesture
of becomming a Muslim myself. In my heart I never really believed her religion was true and I have always been a believer that Christ is the only way to salvation. I even had to take a muslim name, (Baba Wajid Hariss). I at least kept my initials the same and didn’t need to change them on my luggage. After about ten years of being married, and being extraordinarily happy, my second wife found someone else that was more to her liking and divorced me for him. That lasted about a year and he moved on. But she and I had a child together, a son, and he is my life, I love him more than any living person on this planet, to my own shame I probably love him more than his sister from my first marriage, but I raised this child the whole time while he was growing up, he’s now a young man of exceedingly good heart and possesses a measure of common sense. I’ve tried to teach him to be a man of faith, and he is to a point, but I believe he will become stronger in his faith as time goes by and he becomes more mature and knowledgeable. I’ve been a liar, an adulterer, a fornicator, and many other terrible things from the time I was Baptised and I want so much to get back in the good graces, or at last be a part of the plan of salvation for my own soul and those of my children. My eldest son was killed when he was nineteen by his best friend, who was stoned, and shot him in the head for no apparent reason. I’m having real trouble forgiving him in my heart, as a matter of fact, I have to fight the urge to think about ending his life in retribution, and I believe it is keeping me from being able to make my own personal commitment honestly. I ask that you pray for me and if you have any words of encouragement, feel free to pass them along to me, I am at an empasse and need help desperately if I’m ever to know salvation again. You see, I believe a man is also judged on what he believes and I’ve had a falling away,
and to once have had salvation in ones grasp isn’t a guarantee that it will stay with you always.

You are in our prayers. I don’t know everything you are going through and I can’t begin to understand how hard it must be.
God has helped me though life and it has always been better if I surrendered it to Him.

Theres this song that goes “what a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear, what a priviledge to carry, everything to God in prayer.” Mr Billy, am from Africa and i watch your crusades and classics on TBN every sunday night, its the one program i don’t miss, i’m not going to tell you am sad your wife went away because i know she served Jesus and she is now sitting with Him in heaven, i’ve heard about your hospitalization and am sorry your in this pain but don’t worry, He that you serve is with you through all this and i know you know this so am going to ask you to be strong, you inspire me mr Billy, i also want to serve our Lord like you did, i will be praying for your family, for you to stay strong physically because i know your strong spiritually, you don’t know this but your one of my fathers in the faith, it was your words on tv that brought me to become a christian, i know one day i will meet you in heaven. i pray that God continues to bless you and your family for generations to come. God bless you and keep you mr Billy, He is our friend and father.
