Gospel Music Association Recognizes Rock Band Fresh Off GRAMMY Win

Nominations were announced yesterday for the 38th Gospel Music Association Dove Awards with multi-million-selling, GRAMMY and Dove Award-winning rock band Third Day receiving another handful of nods, including one in the prestigious Artist of the Year category.

The Atlanta-based rock band was also recognized for its smash hit “Cry Out to Jesus,” written by lead singer Mac Powell, with a nomination in the Song of the Year category. In the newly added Dove category of Christmas Album, Third Day was acknowledged with a nod for Christmas Offerings, its very first Christmas worship album. (more…)

BETWEEN THE DREAMING AND THE COMING TRUE

Artist / producer / composer Bebo Norman received a Dove Award nomination yesterday in the category of Pop/Contemporary Album for his critically-acclaimed Between the Dreaming and the Coming True. The nominees for the 38th Annual Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards were announced February 20, at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Nashville, Tenn. The Dove Awards will be handed out on April 25, 2007 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. The awards show will be televised in national syndication in May. (more…)

RED COLLECTS THREE DOVE AWARD NOMINATIONS

Band Receives Nominations in the Categories of Rock Album, Rock Recorded Song, and Short Form Music Video

Modern rock band Red can add three Dove Award nominations to its growing list of accolades. At yesterday’s press conference announcing the 38th Annual Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Award nominees at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Nashville, Tenn., the band learned of its nominations in the categories Rock Album, End of Silence; Rock Recorded Song, “Breathe Into Me”; and Short Form Music Video, “Breathe Into Me”. The Dove Awards will be handed out on April 25, 2007 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. The awards show will be televised in national syndication in May. (more…)
