Colts Punter Hunter Smith Celebrates Super Bowl & INO Records Signing
Balancing dual roles as a professional football player and musician, Indianapolis Colts’ punter Hunter Hunter SmithSmith has many things to be excited about as his team won the coveted Super Bowl XLI title on Sunday, and his group, Connersvine, recently signed to INO Records. Connersvine is the acoustic duo made up of Hunter Smith and Chris Wilson, who both lead worship at the Every Nation Church in Indianapolis.
“Winning the Super Bowl has been one of the highlights of my life and career. It is completely humbling that God has allowed me to not only be a part of an amazing football team, but also is giving me the chance to pursue His calling in music.” shares Hunter Smith. “I feel just as strong of a call to worship leading and ministering through music as I do in football.”

In the summer of 2001, the two began their friendship by leading worship together for a young adult ministry on the south side of Indianapolis. As they began to feel God calling them into music professionally, they focused on their song writing and worship style. Connersvine has an acoustic-driven rock sound that communicates through worshipful melodies and passionate vocals. They feel that their purpose is not only to write songs as artists, but to also pen songs that can be used by the Church for corporate worship. Making the most of the off-season and wasting no time to record their INO Records’ label debut, Connersvine will be entering the studio on Wednesday with award-winning producer Pete Kipley (MercyMe, Rebecca St. James, The Afters). rest of the story
