Fireflight, the hard rock outfit from Flicker Records, comes from Eustis, Florida, just outside Orlando. Fireflight has unleashed their national debut album The Healing of Harms. The lead-singer Dawn Richardson’s voice is quite good and really makes this album great. Along with the great vocals, it has a good sound, and some powerful lyrics.
With albums like this Fireflight will make an impact on the music world.
At first I wasn’t too excited about another girl rock band, but Dawn and the rest of the group won me over. Fireflight sounds a lot like a female-fronted rock band that falls between the harder style of Flyleaf, Evanescence, possibly The Benjamin Gate, and the more pop friendly sound of Inhabited, BarlowGirl, and one of my favorites Plumb.
This album by Fireflight is a great album, great lyrics, and a nice new sound. You won’t be dissappointed.

I saw Fireflight perform at Shoutfest in Jackson, TN last Saturday. They played a short set but really rocked. I thought their live sound was much different than the polished sound on the studio produced CD. The CD has some highlights though and it will be fun to watch this band mature and find their niche.
