Google has begun testing their Click to Call. A way for internet users to click an ad they are interested in and an advertiser will then be on the line. the advertiser will never have your number thus preventing telemarketers. This seems like a great idea and a way for Google to reach a bigger market with Adsense.
A Google spokesman on Monday confirmed the company had begun sporting the new feature on some ads, but it was only a test. The company decline further comments.
The pilot program is believed to be the first public test that will provide data on Google’s plans to establish public and free offerings of its products.
Travelers at London’s Heathrow Airport have been using a free pilot program called Google Space. Beginning last Thursday, travelers have been able to use ten laptops to try out six Google programs: Google Earth, Google Local, Google Toolbar, Froogle, Google Mobile, Google Mail, and Picasa.
Also available to the fliers, is general web surfing. This test for Google, may be a glimpse into the future.
