Interview 2 with Yahoo Publisher Network YPN
I have continued the discussion with Brian from the Yahoo! Product Submit Team. This is the first time I have seen the department Yahoo! Product Submit Team, so that is interesting and good news for those of us who are sticking with YPN!.
Brian said,” We are currently taking any suggestions on ad formats, you can expect additions and improvements to your Y!PN account as the beta phase moves on. We have no plans as of now regarding a possible paid program for Yahoo! searches.
During the beta phase one of the biggest issues we are working on is the relevancy of the ads being served. We expect to implement some improvements over the coming weeks and by the time Y!PN has been released to the public we plan to serve targeted ads immediately upon implementation.”
So we are excited about what Yahoo will be bringing out, and look forward to even better targetting! Yahoo has hired a third party to interview beta testers by a questionairre. It was a great thing to see, and the answers I gave them, were very positive and had some great ideas for them to implement.
Better targetting of YPN! means more clicks, which of course means more pay for all bloggers. Keep up the good work YPN!, we do know it is hard to catch up, and yet be different.
