Amazon’s S3 Simple Storage Service just Launched
Amazon’s Simple Storage Service just launched:
Amazon S3 is storage for the Internet. It is designed to make web-scale computing easier for developers.
Amazon S3 provides a simple web services interface that can be used to store and retrieve any amount of data, at any time, from anywhere on the web. It gives any developer access to the same highly scalable, reliable, fast, inexpensive data storage infrastructure that Amazon uses to run its own global network of web sites. The service aims to maximize benefits of scale and to pass those benefits on to developers.
This seems like a pretty interesting idea. There is no startup or minimum monthly fees, just “pay as you go” for storage and bandwidth on a monthly basis. My first thoughts on Amazon S3 are

Increase Your Visitors to Your Blog
Technorati has problems from time to time and still has not fixed the problem that keeps many of our blogs from being listed. We have about a dozen emails (of course nicely written) into them about the problems.
They are growing so fast so problems are expected, but I do wish they would answer emails.
Here are the top searches for the past hour or so.

YPN Improving Targetting of Ads
YPN today is improving the ad relevancy. This will mean better targetting of the ads to the sites that use YPN! as their ad company.
This will be great for all of the bloggers that use Yahoo Punlisher NEtwork because better ad relevancy means more clicks which means more money.
YPN will experiece some outage times for their site but this will not affect the serving of ads.
Just some minor growing pains as YPN strives to get better and match if not better the competition.

Google Buys Writely
Today we read on Jake’s Blog that:
So as many of you know that I use Gmail for most of my email. I have switched over almost all my accounts to my Gmail account. Also if you know me I have always kept the same email address and hate it when people switch. It is a pain with people switching email addresses all the time. So for me to switch to Gmail you know that is must be better.
How much better? Email is email right? Wrong. Gmail is better than any other email program that I have used. You should try gmail. Also Gmail or Google has acquired Writely which is somewhat of a database system where you can save anything and everything online. It seems pretty awesome, I am signed up for thw waiting list to try it out. What is neat is t
Increase Your Blog Visitors by 200 Percent
Everyone needs more visitors to their blog. HAve you seen a steady decline in the amount of comments on blogs around the internet?
BlogTopper
Bloggers always want more traffic to their site. More visitors means more comments. More comments makes a blog more exciting and better to read, which then brings
more visitors because it is a good blog. Blog comments are hard to come by these days. A few years back it was easy. Get a blog going, and you would get comments. Not anymore. Most blogs now receive less than 1 comment a week! Shocking? Not really. Blogs are killing themselves by becoming too commercial. People are getting tired of all the commercials and if it is not a commercial than the blogs are never updated. So bloggers are killing the blogging community and this means less comments for everyone.
