Google Adsense on the Radio

Google was asked about the integration of its dMarc Brodcasting acquisition during its Second Quarter 2006 Earnings Conference Call today.

Google indicated that a new “AdSense for Radio” product would be introduced in about three months.

Google was also asked if a new Google Healthcare vertical is on the way.

Google referenced the Google Co-op Health page and indicated Google is exploring ways to improve the quality of health search.

Microsoft Going after Google Adwords

Microsoft Corp. today is introducing an ad auctioning system caled adCenter that insiders say will be “the next big revenue engine for the company.” Microsoft hopes to use adCenter to grab a bigger share of the booming market for ads linked to specific words used in online searches. But the competition will be tough. Yahoo! next month plans to unveil long-awaited improvements to its system — which Microsoft used while building adCenter. Google Adwords is constantly tweaking its approach to the strategy, which fueled its runaway growth.

Amazon’s S3 Simple Storage Service just Launched

Amazon’s Simple Storage Service just launched:

Amazon S3 is storage for the Internet. It is designed to make web-scale computing easier for developers.

Amazon S3 Simple Storage ServiceAmazon S3 provides a simple web services interface that can be used to store and retrieve any amount of data, at any time, from anywhere on the web. It gives any developer access to the same highly scalable, reliable, fast, inexpensive data storage infrastructure that Amazon uses to run its own global network of web sites. The service aims to maximize benefits of scale and to pass those benefits on to developers.
This seems like a pretty interesting idea. There is no startup or minimum monthly fees, just “pay as you go” for storage and bandwidth on a monthly basis. My first thoughts on Amazon S3 are

So, what web hosts are reliable? Which web hosts are fast? It is important as you can have the best looking site, great content, updated frequently, yet if your website is down, you lose.
