Page Rank

For all of you Page Rank addicts, Google can be frustrating. Just when you have it figured out they change it on you. For those of you do not know what I am talking about, here is a posting from another site:

‘PageRank is one of the methods Google uses to determine a page’s relevance or importance. It is only one part of the story when it comes to the Google listing, but the other aspects are discussed elsewhere (and are ever changing) and PageRank is interesting enough to deserve a paper of its own.

PageRank is also displayed on the toolbar of your browser if you’ve installed the Google toolbar (http://toolbar.google.com/). But the Toolbar PageRank only goes from 0 - 10 and seems to be something like a logarithmic scale….

We can’t know the exact details of the scale because, as we’ll see later, the maximum PR of all pages on the web changes every month when Google does its re-indexing! If we presume the scale is logarithmic (although there is only anecdotal evidence for this at the time of writing) then Google could simply give the highest actual PR page a toolbar PR of 10 and scale the rest appropriately.’ The rest of the article.

To put it simple. Page Rank is a vote from all the other websites on the web. By linking you they can affect your Page Rank.

Really pretty simple. get good quality links and your rank goes up. Good quality means from sites that are ranked high in Google. The more of these quality links, the better your Page Rank will be.

Google has an Adwords Keword Tool on their site. This is an awesome tool to help your search results. Traffic for a site is always nice. Targeted traffic is even better. To build a blog, or any sort of site you must have visitors that are interested in what you offer.
For example, if you have a site about the Superbowl in Detroit, you have no interest in someone that is looking for a Soup Bowl made in France. (Read the article)
