The group had a very busy year having 10 #1 Christian hip hop singles, Dichotomy A/B selling nearly 120,000 copies, sharing the stage with Outkast and Jay-Z, receiving a Billboard Video Award, 4 Dove Award’s (Christian Grammy), and most impressively their Dichotomy B album is up for Best Rock Gospel Album of the Year at this year’s GRAMMY AWARDS.
Grits has been recognized by such media as The Source, XXL, SPIN, VIBE and many more. There songs have been featured on MTV Cribs, The Real World, Pimp My Ride, Made, Boston Public, Kevin Hill as well as such feature films as “Something’s Gotta Give” and “The Perfect Man.”
This year was great for Grits and this Grammy nomination has sprung them into a whole new stratosphere. The sky seems to be the limit for this group and we can only wait and see what they do next.
Good job Grits!

Why there were three rap albums nominated in the rock category I just don’t understand?
My vote is for Day of Fire…Dove Award winner for Best Rock Album!

It doesn’t look like the Grammy’s have a category for Christian Rap or Christian Hip Hop. They need to get with the program!

I’m partial to Day of Fire though because Josh Brown (lead singer) is from the city I work in and he’s got a great testimony and I’ve talked with him personally. One night, after a show, he leaned on my car witnessing to a concert goer and I was praying while all that was going on! Woohooo!
Josh Brown, from personal experience, is the REAL DEAL and it would be so awesome to actually know a Grammy Award Recipient!
His mom came into my store the other day to buy up all the copies of Day of Fire I had in stock! LOL
