BILLBOARD MAGAZINE TOUTS NEW ARTIST JOHN WALLER
AS ONE OF TOP TEN “FACES TO WATCH” IN 2007

(Nashville, Tenn.) Jan. 8, 2007 – Beach Street Records’ new artist John Waller was recently named one of Billboard magazine’s “Faces To Watch” this year in the Jan. 6 inaugural “Best Bets 2007” issue of the premium music publication. As one of only ten artists chosen across all genres of music, Waller is the only Christian music artist to be honored in a feature story this week profiling acts that Billboard calls “hot talent awaiting discovery as 2007 begins.”

Worship leader and songwriter John Waller releases his highly anticipated debut album titled The Blessing on March 6. He is the third artist signed to Beach Street, an imprint of Reunion Records, and joins the team behind platinum-selling, GRAMMY Award winning band Casting Crowns.

Waller, who currently serves as the worship pastor at Southlink Church in Lone Tree, Colo., originally wrote the songs on his debut for his local church. His powerful lyrical style caught the attention of Mark Hall, lead singer of Christian music supergroup Casting Crowns, which led to Waller’s deal at the band’s same label home. Hall also sings on the album’s title track with Waller, a song that is already gaining attention at Christian radio formats as the project’s first single.
