RED “Already Over” No. 1 on Charts
RED SHOWING NO END OF SILENCE AS IT MARKS
SECOND NO. 1 AT RADIO WITH “ALREADY OVER”
Modern Rock Band Gearing Up for Multi-Week Tour With Three Days Grace
January 8, 2007 – Current GRAMMY nominees Red are two-for-two at radio as the band’s second-ever single, “Already Over,” reached No. 1 on Radio and Records’ Christian Rock Chart on Monday, December 18, 2006. “Already Over” is the second single from Red’s Essential Records debut, End of Silence (June 6, 2006). The first single, “Breathe Into Me,” made it to No. 1 during July of 2006 on both Radio and Records’ and CRW’s Christian Rock Charts.
Overwhelmed by the continued support from radio and its fans, Red guitarist, Jasen Rauch, comments on the band’s second No. 1 at radio, “When we learned about our first No. 1 at radio with ‘Breathe Into Me,’ we couldn’t hardly believe it. Then came our GRAMMY nomination for End of Silence, which made this all seem kind of surreal. Now with the success of ‘Already Over’ at radio, we simply know we are doing what we were put on this earth to do, and that’s to deliver the good news we have in our hearts through our music…and we plan on doing it for a long, long time.”
At the end of January, Red will begin a 15-city tour opening for Three Days Grace that will see concerts from Texas to California to Washington State. (All dates listed below).
Since the June 6, 2006 release of its debut album, End of Silence (Essential Records), Red has toured non-stop, collected two No. 1 radio singles (“Breathe Into Me” and “Already Over”), and received a GRAMMY nomination in the category Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album for End of Silence. With currently more than 47,000 fans on MySpace (www.myspace.com/dropofRed), Red makes it a priority to write each and every fan back personally and let them know how much their support is appreciated. The five-member band is: Mike Barnes, lead vocals; Anthony Armstrong, guitar; Randy Armstrong, bass; Jasen Rauch, guitar; and Hayden Lamb, drums. End of Silence was produced by Dove-nominated producer/songwriter Rob Graves and mixed by Ben Grosse (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fuel, Sixpence None the Richer).
