Sarah Reeves shares the inspiration behind “Let Us Rise” from her April 21 debut, Sweet, Sweet Sound.
“A big passion of mine is unity. As the church, we are the body of Christ. While I know we all have our opinions and arguments about God, at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter the denomination of church I go to or the song I sing on Sunday morning. What matters is that I’m a lover of Jesus Christ. As believers, we are all on the same team. We all go by the same book. We all worship the same God. If we can’t get it together in the church, how do we ever expect to get it right in this world? Let us rise together as one in Jesus Christ. Can we lay down our pride and look at the calling on our lives? Our mission is to be love and share truth with this lost and dying world.” –Sarah Reeves
